Cereal collaborated with fashion brand Vince to present select pieces from their AW17 collection, placed alongside the abstract forms of some of LA’s most iconic architecture. The Getty Centre’s clean travertine squares; the Broad’s elongated honeycomb veil; the Disney Concert Hall’s shell like facets – each resonates individually with the collection’s minimalist details and simplified silhouettes.
Vince’s Abbot Kinney store, and Casa Perfect – the Future Perfect’s design gallery in the West Hollywood Hills – provide the locations for the shoot. Housed in a modernist villa built by David Hyuan in 1957, Casa Perfect’s seamlessly eclectic trove of design objects is emblematic of LA’s thriving creative scene. Championing fresh and emerging modern design, at home against a discreet mid century canvas, Casa Perfect translates the quality of Vince’s elevated style of comfort.
The collection is warmly layered with alpaca and wool blends, softly falling silks, and generous, oversized cashmere. Ash golds and cool greys unwind into the easy going backdrop of LA’s sand and ocean hues.
